The following schedule has been established for school districts to submit their project paperwork/applications to their SFB Liaison based upon the dates of the upcoming Board meetings. If a school district submits the project paperwork/application by the submittal deadline, the SFB Liaison will review the submission and determine if it is complete and may be included on the agenda for the next meeting. However, if any additional information is needed, the project may need to be put on a future agenda.  If a school district misses a deadline, the project may be considered for a future meeting

The Students FIRST law established a building renewal fund for the purpose of maintaining the adequacy of existing school facilities. These monies can be used for major renovations and repairs of a building, for upgrades to building systems (e.g. heating, cooling, plumbing, etc.) that will maintain or extend the useful life of a building, and for infrastructure costs. On February 11, 2010, the U.S. Department of Energy issued a Memorandum of Decision granting nationwide categorical waivers under section 1605 of the Recovery Act (the Buy American Provisions) for fluorescent electronic lighting ballasts, LED traffic lights and signals, and CFL's (with a few exceptions described in the waiver).
