New School Facilities Formula by Grade Level 

This cost breakdown spreadsheet is filled out by the general contractor or CM@Risk and used as part of the budgeting/GMP proposal/negotiation process.

The Students FIRST law established a new school facilities fund for the purpose of constructing new schools to meet the minimum adequacy guidelines. The criteria to determine district eligibility for monies from the new school facilities fund are based on annual evaluation and approval of district enrollment projections and the additional square footage that will be needed to maintain adequacy standards in a district. Once the initial documents are on file, the prime contractor may make a certified payroll submission.  Payroll submissions must include the following three documents.  All documents must be originals with wet-ink signatures.  Emails and faxes cannot be accepted.

On October 6, 2010, the Board approved the award of 11 Energy Efficiency Grant projects to 10 districts.  In total, these projects, with an estimated cost of $11,758,463, will save $1,301,704 per year in utility costs.  The average payback is approximately nine years.
